The TACHE Homeschool Band, composed of Woodwinds, Brass, and Percussion, focuses on learning the basics of instrumental music in a Christ-centered group performance setting. In the 26-27 school year, students with one or more years of experience on their instrument will be invited to audition.

The band performs concerts for the community in the fall and spring. In addition, we attempt to provide enriching experiences for our students and have had the opportunity to participate in several community events. We have played pep band, drumline, and fight songs at HEAT Football games, as well as marched in local parades, performed for the residents at a local retirement community, and performed with Tyler Community Band. Our experienced students have had the opportunity to compete in TMEA All-Region and Solo and Ensemble competitions.

We rehearse Thursday afternoons in central Tyler with daily practice required at home.

TACHE members who are ages 11 through high school are eligible to audition for the band with one year of experience required. Please send us an email to learn how to audition.
